On last 1st August, Summer Wars (サマーウォーズ ) was released in movie theaters throughout Japan.
Produced by the Studio Madhouse and Mamoru HOSODA, who did Toki wo kakeru Shoujo (…) a couple of years ago (a very good movie, you should watch it if you haven't yet).

I won't really tell you a lot about the scenario, but the story of Summer Wars! revolves around a family reunion (and not really around the teen hero, contrary to what is said in many synopsis I have read) and a virus in a virtual world (called OZ).

Graphically, the virtual world made me think a lot about Superfalt Monogram (…), a short video advertising of Luis Vuitton. So very graphic, but didn't seemt very plausible...but who am I to critic? ^^
The virus itself looks like a powered version of Eneru (, the bad guy from One Piece: he was soooo cool! ^_^

But my favorite aspect of the movie is by far the family reunion, which features many different kinds of people (sometimes it's like the family infiltrated every part of japanese society, lol). Every member of the family is quite interesting and the interactions between them are very nice.

Here is the trailer (…) if you haven't watched it already. And I advise you to  go see it IF is released in your country.

As for myself, I am currently searching for a job. Because of that, I can hardly concentrate on drawing, so I will drop that activity for some time. I'm sorry for those who wanted to commission me, but I cannot draw anything at the moment: I'm way too focused on job-hunting.
I hope I will be able to draw again soon.

Have fun everyone!

It's the place where I put all my drawings. Since the censorship is a bit problematic on DA, you will find much more drawings there! ;p

Can't wait to see this one. I got really lucky and was able to see "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" in a Singapore movie theater subbed in 2007 (before picking up the beautiful Korean box set). Absolutely incredible film and all the stuff I've heard about this one has been excellent as well (mostly at

Thanks for the heads up. :D
Seems interesting.
The virtual world part reminds me a lot of the Digimon movies.

Hopefully this comes out in Europe.
