Background
Composed but joyful, Orseis is rather clever for a mermaid and has a pretty, but dangerous, smile with fangs. Even if she's already 32 year old, She is still a young mermaid, a specie that reaches adulthood around 25-30 years and can live about 180-200 years. At her 350th moon phase, Orseis was tattoed all over her body during a ceremony which is showing that she was now an adult. Scientists have proven that those tattoos have a complex signification, either ceremonial and social, which make every tattoed mermaid unique.

As an adult, Orseis now lives alone, wandering around and doing some jobs for money. Sadly, like most of mermaids, she doesn't really understand the value of money, and she's generally tricked about it. That’s why she usually prefers to be rewarded with meat or chicken (they’re the same to her eyes). Because humans don't like their nudity, mermaids were first obliged to wear suits or clothes, but they quickly understood that it can prevent from cold and scratches, so they don't mind at all wearing them.

People generally mistakes her gills for her ears, which are in fact ear holes just behind the gills. Because of that, even though she's a mammal, she can breath underwater. She can go around 200 meters deep, but no one really knows at how deep can mermaids go. Like every mermaid, Orseis is a voracious fish predator, eating them raw (remember, there's no fire underwater). She is also flesh eating, and can eat every animal that is too near water. Stories spread about mermaids eatings men, and even if few cases were recorded back time, it's not happening anymore nowadays. Contrary to her specie, she also loves cooked meat.

As a mermaid, she lives in fresh water, but she can live into oceans too. Orseis can also go on land, by squirming awkwardly. She can go very fast like that, but only on a short distance. However, this kind of things aren’t recommended to her since she needs to be hydrated often and that she can hardly defend herself on land. But because she’s quite curious, she likes to go on land to visit human towns, although people don’t like to see mermaids on land (mermaids were, and are still, considered as thieves because they were sneaking near towns and robbing food or items back time).
